The following are in class activities that need to be kept in your notebook / folder.  You will get points at the end of the semester for the activities you have finished as part of your semester notebook check.

3-  On your own paper take notes over the Buddhism powerpoint.  Title your notes "Buddhism" 

4-  On your own paper compare and contrast Hinduism & Buddhism by looking at your notes on the two religions. With a partner create a T-Chart of things that are similar & things that are different.  As a class we then created a "Double Bubble" Thinking Map on the back of your T-Chart.  The Class Map is attached below.

11-  Roman Advancements & The Colosseum Activity:  Students explained why each of the following advancements were important to Rome's development: 1)sewers  2) roads  3) concrete  4) aqueducts  5) the arch (watch part 2 & part 3 of Rome: Engineering an Empire.  Students then wrote 10 SPECIFIC details about the building of the Colosseum and what it was used for by the Romans (watch "Engineering an Empire: Rome Vespasian" below) .
